How the UK Government Kickstart Scheme Works

The COVID-19 pandemic this year has caused so much uncertainty throughout 2020 within the UK job market. Taking steps to remedy this, the UK Government has taken steps to ensure the younger side of the UK workforce will still have options available to them when entering the job hunt. This has culminated in the creation of the government's new ‘Kickstart Scheme'.

The UK Government’s Kickstart Scheme has been created to provide funding to help create new job roles and opportunities for people aged 16 to 24 years old who are currently looking at the prospect of being unemployed long term while living on Universal Credit.

Employers and businesses of most sizes will be able to take advantage of this scheme. This is providing they can provide 30 job placements for candidates.

However, if your company can’t provide a minimum of 30 job placements you will be able to use a Kickstart gateway.

You can check here for assistance with finding a Kickstart gateway.
